Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that his team will prioritise the PSL and Caf Champions League as they face yet another congested fixture list this season.

Downs started their season before any other South African side as they resumed their CL campaign in July.

Now with the domestic league underway, the MTN8 on the horizon and the impending international break drawing closer, Mosimane will have to balance his priorities yet again as he looks to challenge on all fronts.

‘The last thing I want is to compromise the league and to compromise champions league, that’s the last thing we could do because those are important. The league takes you to Champions League and Champions League is the toughest tournament and if it was that easy then everybody could do it if it,’ Mosimane said after his side’s 2-0 win over Polokwane City in the Absa Premiership.

Speaking on his players’ involvement with the national teams, Mosimane added: ‘Also, above that, I think there are five games for Cup of Nations that are coming and international games usually, they are away for 10 days, so 50 days in the whole program is taken by Bafana Bafana.

‘On top of that, there are 14 games that you have to play now for Champions League and another 14 games for Champions League until May.

‘There is [also] top eight, our people like the top eight which we haven’t won since I am here and then there is Nedbank, we went to the semis but try and win it [now] and then there is Telkom plus injuries. I am looking at other people also to see how they are going to cope but we are the only ones who have more games than any teams. You never know,’ Mosimane concluded.
