Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane insists that even the best coaches in the world get beaten by big margins following their hammering by Kaizer Chiefs.

The Brazilians had to endure a 4-2 defeat by rivals Amakhosi in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Mosimane insists that he is not embarrassed by the margin of the defeat as he believes it’s all part of football.

‘Nobody scores four goals against Mamelodi Sundowns. I don’t know if I have lost by four before, I don’t remember,’ Mosimane told the media.

‘But it’s OK, it happens to Pep [Guardiola], it happens to [Jose] Mourinho, it happens to Alex Ferguson and so who am I?

‘I think Ernst [Middendorp] got four goals from me before. I remember giving him four. So, these things do happen. It’s OK, it’s part of the game, it’s football. We are OK. We’re checking the depth, we’re doing housekeeping issues.

‘But they [Chiefs] were strong, they prepared well. They did a good pre-season, no top eight, no nothing, no Champions League, none of these things of going to flights.’
