Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has seemingly hit back at former players Toni Silva and George Lebese after Downs cruised to a 3-0 victory over Black Leopards.

Silva released a scathing open letter to Mosimane last week, where he made a number of shocking accusations about how the former Bafana Bafana coach operates.

Then later in the week, George Lebese, who has joined SuperSport United on loan, claimed that he was ‘depressed’ at Sundowns after not getting a shot at regular game time.

Mosimane then reacted to his former players after his side’s win over Lidoda Duvha. Although he did not mention Silva or Lebese by name, it’s clear who the coach was referring to.

‘They are working hard, it means they are living the right life. At Sundowns if you’re not living the right life, you can’t stay with us for long hey, because we play every three days. It’s tough. We’ve got Emiliano Tade, what a good football player, but he has to wait for his chance,’ Mosimane said to SuperSport TV.

‘It’s frustrating for the players I understand, but the level is a bit different because you take Themba Zwane or Sirino out? Sirino gives 70 to 80% of our goals every time. Those people are important for us.

‘That’s why some other guys get frustrated and don’t get a chance to play, say things in newspapers, but it’s part of my life. You have to break in the team and when you’re there you must stay in there. But you must score also.

‘It’s handbags, it’s part of the game. Everybody says, ”ah you’re frustrating players at Sundowns”, who must I take out, Sirino, Themba Zwane? No, it’s tough. It’s easy to go to newspapers [and say] I wasn’t playing because they didn’t give me a chance, who must we take out?’
