Thabang Monare admits that Bidvest Wits are relishing the chance to claim three points against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.

The Clever Boys claimed their first win in the Absa Premiership this campaign over the weekend when they defeated Orlando Pirates 1-0 at the Bidvest Wits Stadium.

The defending champions occupy 13th spot on the PSL standings with five points from six matches thus far , trailing log leaders Golden Arrows by seven points.

The 28-year-old says his side are solely focused on winning their next encounter and claiming three points away from home.

‘What’s football without pressure? I really think it’s sometimes good to have pressure, but it should be good pressure,’ Monare told the Sowetan Live.

‘But being there at the bottom of the table, we took it quite bad, looking at the experience we have in the team.

‘We are focusing on our next game and that’s what we do in the team. It’s not about what you can do in the long run, so we are focusing on what we can do next game against Celtic.’

Bidvest Wits will be hoping to continue their winning ways when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday with kick-off set for 15:00.
