SuperSport United have announced that winger Aubrey Modiba has signed a new contract extension.

The 24-year-old has committed his future to the club after putting pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract, which has him remaining there until 2024.

The Limpopo-born wing was recently linked to Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, but opted to pledge his loyalty by remaining at Matsatsantsa.

Modiba now becomes the second high-profile player to sign a new long-term deal with the club after goalkeeper Ronwen Williams extended his stay in January.

The SuperSport winger has been an integral part of the squad during the current campaign and has already scored four goals and assisted a further four from 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

SuperSport took to Twitter to announce the news:

‘SuperSport United is pleased to announce that Aubrey Modiba has signed a four-and a half-year extension which will see him at the club till 2024.’
