Chippa United midfielder Menzi Masuku says he is looking forward to an ‘exciting’ match against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.

The Chilli Boys are currently placed ninth in the Absa Premiership standings with 21 points after winning five of their 18 matches played so far this season.

Masuka, who has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, has recently put in a Man of the Match performance against Golden Arrows following their 2-2 stalemate at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium.

The 23-year-old says he will be hoping his side can maintain their top eight status, when they take on the defending Absa Premiership champions on Tuesday.

‘Exciting game! It is always exciting to play Mamelodi Sundowns. The atmosphere is always electrifying against all the big teams and we expect the same at Loftus. I am looking forward to the game so are my teammates,’ Masuku told the Chippa United website.

‘We want to mix with the best in the League and maintain our top eight positions so we must go to Pretoria with belief and fight for maximum points.

Masuku has revealed that the Chilli Boys are well prepared for the Brazilians and are focused on doing well in what is expected to be an ‘exciting’ match.

‘The preparations have been going well and we are all excited about the game. We have put the game against Golden Arrows behind us and the focus now is on our next game.’

Chippa United will now take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.

The match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
