Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that George Maluleka has signed a contract extension which keeps him at the club until June 2020.

The 28-year old midfielder, who joined Amakhosi from Supersport United back in 2014, has put pen to paper on a new three-year extension deal with the club, which runs from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020.

The sealing of Maluleka’s contract talks will end a series of speculations from pundits and will be welcome news for the Amakhosi faithful.

Maluleka has spent three years with the Glamour Boys, where he managed to score six goals and assisted a further nine from 62 appearances in all competitions so far.

Over the course of his playing career Maluleka has managed to rack up a total of 214 appearances and scored 18 goals, while assisting 18 goals in all competitions playing for the like of AmaTuks, SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town and Kaizer Chiefs.

At international level, the midfielder has represented the South African national team for a total of six times back in November 2011 under the guidance of Pitso Mosimane.

However, on the national stage, all of Maluleka’s appearances in his national team colours has been in international friendly matches against Mozambique, Brazil, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Zimbabwe and Ivory Coast.
