Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo says Amakhosi have their eyes set on winning as many trophies as they can during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 27-year-old managed to make six appearances for Amakhosi last season in the Absa Premiership and Nedbank Cup respectively, while keeping out four goals in the process.

Khuzwayo says his side are aiming to win trophies during the 2017-18 campaign following their previous two seasons without any silverware.

‘This season we want silverware. Basically, we want to win everything because it’s important to make our supporters happy. We do this for them and for the love of the game,’ Khuzwayo told KickOff.com.

‘Chiefs is a big brand, so it’s important to know that when we don this jersey, what we are playing for. Even now, when I wear this jersey, I get scared because it’s so powerful.

The former Amazulu shot-stopper insists that the Glamour Boys have to redeem themselves and reclaim the Amakhosi legacy.

‘We all need to realise how powerful this brand is and it’s important to focus on winning silverware,’ he added.

‘We should be the generation that was better than all the generations before. It’s important to leave a good legacy, not to say we were one of the worst generations.’

Kaizer Chiefs will now lock horns with Orlando Pirates in their mouth-watering Carling Black Label Champions Cup on 29 July.
