Orlando Pirates club chairman Irvin Khoza has revealed that Zakhele Lepasa will be given the opportunity to impress the club’s technical team as he looks to break into the first team for the upcoming campaign.

The young striker was loaned out last season to two different clubs in the National First Division (NFD) as he looked to gain some experience.

Initially he was loaned to Stellenbosch FC, who went on to gain promotion to the Absa Premiership, before moving to TS Galaxy where he scored the heroic penalty to seal the 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs and edge the NFD sides name into the history books.

Lepasa, who was called up to the Bafana Bafana Cosafa Cup squad, will be a part of the Pirates’ pre-season preparations according to Khoza.

‘We brought back Lepasa. We will conclude our talks with him this week,’ Khoza told Isolezwe.

‘We have loaned him out for a long time for him to get game time and we need to see if he is ready to play for Pirates,’ Khoza concluded.

The 22-year-old, who came through the Pirates academy, will be hoping to impress Bucs head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and his assistants and earn himself a place in their plans for the 2019/20 season.
