Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret says he will focus on improving his side’s attack ahead of their Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The Buccaneers recently drew 1-1 with Polokwane City at the Orlando Stadium and are now set to face Amakhosi in what is expected to be an enticing Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The Buccaneers have not won an Absa Premiership match since November since defeating Chippa United 1-0 at the Orlando Stadium and have recently drawn five and lost four.

The Swedish coach insists that the Buccaneers fans will play their part in helping his side overcome their local rivals, while also admitting that he has prepared well for the clash, despite not seeing Amakhosi play before.

‘These fans are going to help us to win our games. They are passionate; I like that. They must just know that we are coming,’ Jonevret said, according to the PSL website.

‘I haven’t seen enough of Chiefs but I have a good technical team and we’ll plan accordingly… We will definitely focus on the offensive aspect of things.’

The Sea Robbers are currently placed 10th on the Absa Premiership standing with 21 points and have now won just four out of 18 matches played so far this season.

Orlando Pirates will now travel to the FNB Stadium when they take on local rivals Kaizer Chief in a Soweto derby in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.

Kick-off has been scheduled for 15:30.
