Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson is confident of his side’s readiness ahead of their upcoming domestic and continental fixtures.

Dikwena now returns to Absa Premiership action when they take on Orlando Pirates on February 8 before participating in the Caf Confederation Cup against Mozambican side Uniao Do Songo.

The 58-year-old says that he is impressed with his side’s performance during training ahead of their upcoming Absa Premiership and Caf Confederation Cup fixtures.

‘We have got a good sense of our readiness,’ Johnson told the Platinum Stars website.

‘We are playing many games to get an indication of where we are. It’s good because once the PSL starts we play every third day. We are in the league and the CAF. We are happy that players are going through that.

‘We have been doing some team building exercises. We are working on stuff. We do our set pieces and dead ball situations exercises. We also have friendlies lined up in the Nelspruit area before returning to Rustenburg.’

Platinum Stars against Orlando Pirates kicks off at 19:30.
