Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt believes his side should focus on adding to their trophy cabinet and the individual honours will follow.

The 52-year-old coach enjoyed a successful campaign leading the Students to their maiden Absa Premiership title and the MTN8 trophy, while securing their place in the next edition of the Caf Champions League.

He also walked away with top honours at the PSL awards ceremony after claiming the Absa Premiership Coach of the Season for the fifth time, having previously won the award in 2002, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Hunt admits that winning trophies is far more important than individual honours, while remaining tight-lipped about his plans for the season ahead.

‘Winning two trophies in one season has never been achieved before and is a big achievement for the club,’ Hunt said at the PSL awards.

‘So individual awards come second – the more we can win trophies as a club, the more you’ll get individual awards, so that’s important for us going forward.

‘How do we become better than this season? That’s a secret!’
