Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt says his side are expecting a ‘very tough’ clash against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.

The Clever Boys recently secured a comfortable 5-0 thrashing of Ajax Cape Town at the Bidvest Wits Stadium in the Absa Premiership through goals by Phakamani Mahlambi, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Gabadinho Mhango, James Keene and Gabadinho Mhango.

The Students currently sit fourth in the Absa Premiership standings with 28 points and have won eight out of 14 matches played so far this season with 18 matches left to play until the 2016-17 season comes to an end.

The 52-year-old believes the Buccaneers will prove to be a much stronger side to face after they were humbled 6-0 by defending Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.

‘We are expecting a very tough game on Wednesday against Pirates. They will certainly come out much stronger and determined to protect their pride,’ Hunt told the Bidvest Wits website.

Pirates were also beaten 6-1 by SuperSport United earlier this season, which led to the resignation of Turkish coach Muhsin Ertugral before the team went on a three-game winning run.

Bidvest Wits will now travel to the Orlando Stadium when they take on Orlando Pirates for a mouthwatering clash in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
