After a photo of Kaizer Chiefs target Godfrey Walusimbi training in the gym at Naturena surfaced online, Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has blasted both the player and the Soweto giants.

The Soweto Giants have been embroiled in a transfer saga over the Ugandan left-back for a number of weeks, with Kenyan Club Gor Mahia reportedly upset in the manner which Amakhosi have tried to ‘tap up their player’.

Kerr speaking on the photo of the defender in a gym wearing the kit of his pursuers, and Walusimbi’s decision to train in a Glamour Boys kit before sealing a  move, as ‘disgusting’.

The Gor Mahia coach has even gone as far as calling on Fifa to punish Amakhosi and the player.

‘It is disgusting from the player and Chiefs for having no respect. Is my club going to let Walusimbi treat Gor Mahia in this way? No… respect from both Chiefs or himself, and why is he training there in Chiefs kit and yet he is still a Gor Mahia player?

‘Walusimbi has breached his contract and breached football ethics. He is not entitled to this whatsoever because he signed a two-year contract and got Sh4million from Gor Mahia, so he is our player.

‘What gives him [Walusimbi] the right to act in this manner and what gives them the right to illegally take him without proper compensation?’ Kerr added.

The Ugandan left-back left Kenya without the permission of his club and also started negotiations with the Soweto giants as he looks to force through a move.
