Free State Stars are interested in signing Ghanian striker Mohammed Anas, who is currently a free agent.

The 22-year-old has been on trial with Ea Lla Koto for past two weeks and it has been reported that he has impressed head coach Serame Letsoaka into earning himself a professional contract with the club.

However, Mbabane Swallows CEO Sbusiso Manana has confirmed that there have been ongoing talks between the two clubs regarding the transfer of Anas.

‘There has been contact. Both teams are talking,’ Manana told KickOff.com.

Over the course of his career in South Africa, Anas has scored a total of nine goals and has assisted a further four from 43 appearances in all competitions since joining Maritzburg United from Mbabane Swallows.

When the Premier League returns, Free State Stars will travel to the FNB Stadium when they face Kaizer Chiefs on February 7.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
