Kaizer Chiefs face a number of fresh injury concerns ahead of their title decider against Baroka on the final day of the season with Kgotso Moleko, Erick Mathoho, Khama Billiat and Lebogang Manyama all a doubt.

All the final day fixtures are set to kick-off simultaneously at 15h30 on Saturday afternoon as the title race and survival fight is set to reach its climax.

Chiefs, who remain top of the log on goal difference following their 1-0 win over Chippa on Wednesday evening, are set to face relegation-threatened Baroka at Bidvest Stadium.

Coach Ernst Middendorp, however, will be anxiously awaiting an update from the medical team on the availability of Kgotso Moleko, Erick Mathoho, Khama Billiat and Lebogang Manyama.

“There are some question marks on Moleko; Mathoho, we have to look how far he has recovered; Khama worked his arse off, providing a lot of kilometres in terms of working for the team, which cost a lot of energy too,” said Middendorp.

“Manyama played 60-65 minutes and we had to take him out, it was a very clear order from the medical side not to go into the risk that he gets re-injured and we cannot use him on the weekend.

“But in the moment it’s three days to go, we have around 60 hours’ time to prepare and refresh the team, and we will see. It’s a little bit early to go and say this player or that player is not available.

“What’s important for us is that we didn’t pick up any yellow cards and there will be no suspensions. So I hope each and every body will be available, refreshing with the view to Saturday’s game.”
