Former Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas has revealed he is keen to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The Italian mentor was released from his position at Amakhosi three months after taking over the head coach role following Chiefs’ poor start to the 2018-19 season.

Prior to his departure from Chiefs, Solinas was in charge of 22 official matches across all competitions but yielded eight wins, seven draws and conceded seven defeats.

Solinas says he would love to coach in the PSL again and is excited to see his former club do well this season.

‘Yeah, sure. Why not? Of course, I’ll love to coach in the PSL again,’ Solinas told SunSport.

‘With me, there’s no problem. I’m very happy to see them playing so well.

‘I’m happy for Chiefs and also for Amakhosi fans. So, I wish them all the best.’

Solinas enjoyed two successful spells at the helm of Ea Lla Koto in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 campaigns, during which he guided them to the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout, respectively.
