Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Hendrick Ekstein admits that he is not happy with his progress at Amakhosi.

The 27-year-old, who gained promotion to the first team back in 2014, has only managed to make a total of 63 appearances while scoring three goals in the process.

Ekstein says he is not satisfied with his progress at the club, but he insists he’ll continue to work on improving his performance under the guidance of coach Steve Komphela.

‘To be honest, I’m not happy with my progress. I’m still working on it and I’m willing to work harder. I’m learning from coach Steve and my teammates,’ Ekstein told KickOff.com.

‘My promise to the team and supporters is to work hard and do more, and to do well for the team. I promise that I will do well.’

Kaizer Chiefs will next travel to Goble Park when they take on Free State Stars in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday, with kick-off set for 19:30.
