AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin admits that his side have to become “more realistic and more humble”.

Usuthu were forced to endure a defeat against Richards Bay following their 2-1 loss at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium after goals from Justice Figuareido and Sanele Barns cancelled out Augustine Mulenga’s opening goal.

The Durban-based outfit will be looking to bounce back when they take on Stellenbosch FC in their next DStv Premiership encounter at the Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday.

Martin believes they are still far from the level of the teams that need to fight for these higher positions.

“The lack of consistency that we are having for the whole season and not only a few games, that is impossible to overlook for [finishing in] higher positions,” Martin told his club’s official website.

“Also, individually when you are making so many mistakes consistently, that means our level is what it is. We are trying to improve that.”

“I think we have improved from the beginning of the season but we are still far from the level of the teams that need to fight for these higher positions. We need to be more realistic, we need to be more humble.”
