Royal AM head coach John Maduka says his side will continue to fight as they look to bounce back when they take on champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday evening.

Thwihli Thwahla stretched their winless run to five matches in the DStv Premiership following their 1-0 defeat to the Brazilians on Saturday.

Royal AM currently sits in 14th place in the DStv Premiership standings, with 29 points from 27 matches, having won eight games, drawn five and conceded 14 defeats so far this season.

Maduka will be hoping his side can bounce back and return to winning ways after conceding their fourth straight defeat, although he knows it will not be an easy task to do against the champions.

“We had a couple of breaks that if we were clinical enough, I think a bit calm we could maybe score a goal,” Maduka said.

“But unfortunately, it didn’t happen but the boys worked so hard until that moment we lost concentration. It’s still a lot, it’s still a lot. At this time of the season, players are tired, their bodies are tired so you have to make sure that you motivate them again if you have a thin squad you have to use the players again.

“It’s not easy but we will continue fighting.”
