Cape Town Spurs have continued to bolster their squad after confirming the signing of defender Denwin Farmer.

The 27-year-old joined the club as a free agent after he parted ways with Sekhukhune United in July 2023.

Farmer was brought in to strengthen the club’s defensive department after Lubeni Haukongo sustained an injury that will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season.

The Gqeberha-born defender brings a wealth of experience to the club, having previously played for SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, Baroka FC, and most recently Sekhukhune United.

Over the course of his career, Farmer has scored four goals and registered two assists in 103 appearances across all competitions.

“Cape Town Spurs F.C. would like to welcome Denwin Farmer to Ikamva,” Spurs announced on social media

“The 27-year-old has been brought in to strengthen the team’s central defence after Lubeni Haukongo’s season-ending injury.

“We wish Denwin well for the remainder of the season!”
