Cape Town City have strengthened their defensive ranks after officially announcing the signing of Greek defender Giannis Potouridis.

PSL Wrap: Chiefs move five points clear of Sundowns

The 27-year-old defender has been without a club since parting ways with Greek outfit OFI Crete before signing a deal with the Citizens.

The Greece-born defender will now compete with the likes of Taariq Fielies, Kouassi Kouadja, and Keanu Cupido for a place in Benni McCarthy’s backline.

Over the course of his career, Potouridis has scored one goal and assisted a further five from 196 appearances across all competitions playing for Olympiacos Piraeus, AO Platanias, Novara Calcio 1908, Panthrakikos Komotini, AE Larisa, Miedz Legnica and OFI Crete.
