Cape Town City owner John Comitis says he expects captain Lebogang Manyama to move abroad, despite interest from local clubs.

Following speculation linking the 27-year-old with a move away from the club, City coach Benni McCarthy opted to exclude him from the squad. They beat Wits 1-0 in their MTN8 semi-final encounter over the weekend.

Comitis says he won’t be bullied into selling Manyama, as he is waiting for offers from abroad for the services of the City captain.

‘Clubs are very interested in Manyama’s services,’ Comitis told KickOff.com.

‘You can’t only work on one deal, you know. I’ve said it before that Manyama’s future is abroad, but I won’t be bullied into selling Manyama to just any club.’

Cape Town City will now prepare for their MTN8 semi-final second leg against Bidvest Wits on 10 September.

The match at the Bidvest Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
