Kaizer Chiefs will be without three key players for their upcoming Telkom Knockout semi-final clash with Maritzburg United next Saturday.

Daniel Akpeyi, Willard Katsande and Eric Mathoho have all been ruled out after picking up suspensions during their 3-2 victory over Orlando Pirates over the weekend.

Katsande and Akpeyi both received their fourth yellow card and will miss their next game through suspension, while Mathoho picked up a red card during their thrilling Soweto derby encounter at the FNB Stadium.

Ernst Middendorp is now expected to call up goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma to fill in for Akpeyi, while another option would be Brylon Peterson, who Amakhosi recently re-signed.

Meanwhile, Kearyn Baccus looks set to return to the midfield to replace Katsande after having overcome his injury.
