Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas has lamented his side’s fatigue as they remain without an Absa Premiership victory after a 1-1 draw with Baroka FC on Tuesday evening.

The match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium gave the Glamour Boys the opportunity to kick-start their league campaign with a victory after they started their season with a draw against Mamelodi Sundowns and a loss against Bidvest Wits.

The Amakhosi got their first competitive win last Saturday as the Soweto Giants cruised past Free State Stars in the MTN8. Despite the 3-0 victory which would have undoubtedly boosted the team’s confidence, Solinas bemoaned the physical impact the tie had on his players whereas Bakgaga had the time to rest.

‘In my opinion today Kaizer Chiefs played well. Yes at the end of the game [we were] a little bit fatigued,’ Solinas told SuperSport after the match.

‘Baroka had an advantage because they did not play on Saturday [weekend] and are fresh. My players are a little bit fatigued because we play every two days.

‘We travel, no time for recovery, no time for training but I’m happy because my players played well in my opinion. Yes, we can convert some chances but this is the game.’
