Maritzburg United striker Jeremy Brockie has confirmed that he will not be able to play in their upcoming Absa Premiership clash with parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.

The New Zealand forward, who joined the Team of Choice on loan from Sundowns, is not allowed to partake in their next league match due to the terms of the loan agreement between the two clubs.

Brockie will have to wait a bit longer to make his debut for Maritzburg as he looks to get his career back on track after a frustrating year on the sidelines at Sundowns.

Eric Tinkler’s side will only be able to utilise Brockie for the first time when they host Chippa United in the league on Friday, 27 September, going in search of their first win of the new season.

Brockie has since confirmed on Twitter that he is eligible to play against his parent club.
