Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has been nominated for the inaugural Best Zimbabwean Footballer in Africa award alongside the likes of SuperSport United duo Onismor Bhasera and Kudakwashe Hamachi.

The inaugural Soccer Supporters Choice Awards was launched in Harare earlier this week, where African footballers will be vying for honours in different categories that include the Best Zimbabwean-based Footballer, Best Zimbabwean Football in Africa, Best Zimbabwean International Footballer and the Best Zimbabwean Women Footballer.

Billiat has been nominated for the Best Zimbabwean Footballer in Africa award alongside SuperSport United duo Onismor Bhasera and Kudakwashe Mahachi, as well as Tafadwa Rusike of ZESCO United and Azam FC’s Prince Dube.

Former PSL stars Knowledge Musona, Marshall Munetsi and Nyashwa Mushekwi were all nominated for the Best Zimbabwean International Footballer alongside Tino Kadewere of Olympique Lyonnais.

Meanwhile, Ngezi Platinum Stars’ Denver Mukamaba, Nqobizitha Masuku of Highlands, Dynamos’ Shadreck Nyahwa, Silas Songani of FC Platinum and Brandon Mpofu of CAPS United were nominated for the Best Zimbabwean-based Footballer award.
