Chippa United midfielder Sandile Zuke insists that his side will not underestimate Witbank Spurs when the two sides meet in the Nedbank Cup on Wednesday.

The Chilli Boys will now welcome Siyavutha to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium when the two side’s go head-to-head in the round of 32 in the competition.

The 29-year-old has warned his side not to ‘underestimate’ the National First Divison side and he believes that Spur will fight with the intention of cause an upset.

‘Chippa United will not underestimate Witbank Spurs,’ Zuke told the Chippa United website

‘Teams from the lower leagues double their efforts against Premier league sides so there will be no room for complacency on Wednesday.

‘Spurs will not be different and they will come here with an intention to cause an upset, and we must be ready for them,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder, Sandile Zuke.

‘It is an important game and we must do all we can to proceed to the next round.’

Zuke who made his debut in the Premier Soccer League in 2007, poured cold water on suggestions that Chippa United target big games to perform.

The Bidvest Wits midfielder went on to say that his side have every intention of heading into every match with the attitude and mentality of winning.

‘We want to win every game, that is always our intention. We are going with the same mentality and attitude come Wednesday. We want to proceed to the next round,’ He added.

Zuke has so far made 14 appearances in the Absa Premiership so far this season and is yet to find the back of the net for the Chilli Boys.

Chippa United will now take on Witbank Spurs in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 on Wednesday.

The match at the  Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
