Mamelodi Sundowns will again face off against lower-league opposition in the Nedbank Cup after they were drawn against Summerfield Dynamos for the quarter-finals of the competition.

The draw took place on Monday evening and Downs have been pitted against another ABC Motsepe side following last week’s 6-0 win over Mathaithai.

Downs undoubtedly look favourites to claim this season’s edition of the tournament with a number of big sides already sent packing in previous rounds.

In the round of 16, defending champions Marumo Gallants overcame Orlando Pirates on penalties while 2019 champions TS Galaxy and Swallows FC also exited the tournament after losses to Baroka FC and Royal AM, respectively.

The Premier Soccer League will confirm the dates and venues in due course.

Full draw:

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Summerfield Dynamos
Marumo Gallants vs Baroka FC
Tshakhuma FC vs SuperSport United
Royal AM vs University of Pretoria
