Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates were both handed tough fixtures in the Nedbank Cup last 32 after the draw was made on Thursday night.

The Buccaneers will have to overcome fellow Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits in a home fixture, while a Tshwane derby will take place as well with Sundowns getting a home game against SuperSport United.

Looking to make up for last season’s embarrassment in the Nedbank Cup, where they became the first topflight side to lose to a second division side in a cup final when TS galaxy ran out as 1-0 winners, when they face Pietermaritzburg GladAfrica Championship team Royal Eagles.

Fellow Absa Premiership strugglers Polokwane City and Baroka FC were two other PSL teams drawn against each other in a Limpopo derby.

While defending champions TS Galaxy‚ a GladAfrica team‚ were drawn to against Chippa United away in the Eastern Cape.

The televised draw was held in the auditorium at Nedbank’s headquarters in Sandton.

The final dates and venues will be announced at a later date by the PSL.
