Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has denied talk of a crisis within the Los Blancos dressing following a third successive La Liga draw.

Real remain level on points with league leaders Atletico Madrid at the top of the standings and are one point clear of third-placed Sevilla, with giants Barcelona a further point aback.

Nevertheless, having gone four games without a victory following a hard-fought Champions League stalemate with Borussia Dortmund, the side’s lackluster form has been a cause for alarm among the Real faithful.

‘This is not a crisis – this is just October, we mustn’t go crazy about this,’ Zidane insisted, reports Sky Sports.

‘We did not play in the first half and our opponent did play well. The second half was much better, but this is something we are saying too often at the moment. We will analyse things again, and when they come back from the international break we must change. We can’t go on like this.’

An injury to key midfielder Luka Modric has only exacerbated Real’s struggles of late as the side has often looked disjointed in the absence of the Croatian.

‘I don’t believe we lacked creativity. It is not clever play we are missing, it is intensity. We don’t win enough of the 50-50 balls,’ Zidane concluded.

Real are next in action when they take on Real Betis on October 15.

The match will get underway at 20:45 from the Estadio Benito Villamarin.
