Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano was happy with his side’s overall performance but felt his side were the better team.
The Herons were forced to settle for a point after playing out to a goalless draw against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in Miami.
The draw saw Inter occupy second place in Group A with one point after one point, while Al Ahly are placed first with the same amount of points.
Mascherano felt like his side had enough chances to win the game but laments their decision-making in the final third.
“We were much better than them, we moved a lot in transition and controlled the game and we had chances to score and win the game,” Mascherano said.
“Football is like that, maybe in the first half they had some chances too.
“Obviously we wanted to win because we know how important it is to start with a win, but I’m happy with the platform.”
