Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth says his side have to be strong mentally when they take on Botafogo in the final Club World Cup Group B clash on Monday evening.
The 29-year-old has featured in both Group B games for the Spanish side but is yet to open his goal-scoring account in the tournament.
The Norwegian will have another opportunity to find the back of the net when they take on Botafogo this evening.
Sorloth is confident that his side will walk away with the win and he believes that his experience will help him find the back of the net.
“We managed to win by at least three goals 12 times this season,” Sorloth said.
“Of course, as a striker, I want to bury every chance, but that’s not how it works. I’ve got to stay strong mentally. I’m 29, I’ve got plenty of experience, and I hope I can find the net [in this next match].”
“If they get one, we’ll have to put away four.”
Atletico Madrid against Botafogo is scheduled to kick-off at 9pm.
