Orlando Pirates have revealed that Zakhele Lepasa and Vincent Pule could be drafted to the starting lineup for their upcoming Carling Knockout Cup clash against Richards Bay.

The Buccaneers are set to travel to Moses Mabhida Stadium when they take on Richards when the two sides square off in the quarter-final of the competition.

Pirates made their way to this stage of the tournament following their 2-0 victory over Cape Town City in the opening round.

Richards, meanwhile, advanced to this stage following their 2-1 victory over Moroka Swallows in the first round.

The Sea Robbers also confirmed they will remain without the likes of Sipho Chaine, Paseka Mako and Innocent Maela, who continue to mend their way back to full fitness from their respective injuries.

“The hosts have been bolstered by the return of striker Sinethemba Mngomezulu, who is again eligible for selection after serving a two-match ban for picking up a red card in a home league defeat to Polokwane City.

“For Pirates, defenders Paseka Mako and Innocent Maela continue to recover from their respective injuries along with goalkeeper Sipho Chaine.

“Meanwhile, Zakhele Lepasa and Vincent Pule could have bigger roles on Saturday after their substitute appearances in midweek.”
