Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates got their Caf campaigns off to a flying start after securing comfortable victories in their respective group-stage matches this past weekend.

Saturday, 13 February:

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 Al-Hilal

Mamelodi Sundowns started their Caf Champions League group-stage campaign on a positive note with a 2-0 win over Al-Hilal Omdurman at Loftus Versfeld, through goals from Mosa Lebusa and Kermit Erasmus, to send the Brazilians top of the Group B standings.

Wydad Casablanca vs Kaizer Chiefs (postponed)

Kaizer Chiefs and Wydad Casablanca were set to face each other in Casablanca on Saturday, but Chiefs were denied Moroccan visas due to Covid-19 issues, which resulted in the game being postponed. The Confederation of African Football has since confirmed that the game will be played at a neutral venue.

However, Wydad has stated that their Champions League clash with the Soweto giants will take place in Egypt.

Sunday, 14 February:

Jwaneng Galaxy 0-3 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Jwaneng Galaxy in the first leg of their Caf Confederations group-stage playoff clash in Gaborone, courtesy of goals from Thulani Hlatshwayo, Linda Mntambo and Jean-Marc Mundele, who bagged his first for Pirates.
