Watch as Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane goes on an amazing post-match rant, slamming Wydad Casablanca’s reaction after Downs’ 2-1 victory in Atteridgeville.
The Brazilians came out on top at the Lucas Moripe Stadium and showed some ‘game management’ in the closing stages, something Wydad clearly did not appreciate.
North African teams, including the Moroccan giants, are renowned for their off-the-ball antics in time wasting which often helps them get over the line in big Champions League games.
However, on Saturday night they received a taste of their own medicine, and were clearly unhappy being on the receiving end of the antics for once.
After the clash tempers boiled over in the post-match interview when Pitso insisted he was happy that his team have finally learnt how to deploy their own ‘game management’ tactics.
‘They do this to us in Morocco, everywhere they go they want to bully us. It’s about time Sundowns learnt how to play Champions League.
‘They come to South Africa and want to bully us? No, we are local now, we know what to do if people bully us, we give it back, gone are the days,’ said Pitso.
