Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane admits he was satisfied with his sides result against Al Hilal despite dropping at the Al-Hilal Stadium in Omdurman.

The Red Eagles started their journey in the Caf Champions League group stage with a goalless draw on Friday afternoon in Sudan against Al Hilal.

The stalemate sees Mosimane’s side occupy second place in the Group A standings with one point, three points behind rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pitso Mosimane has since shared his thoughts on Friday’s goalless draw against Sudan’s Al Hilal in Matchday two of the Caf Champions League group stage.

“It is a satisfying result for us. We came here to win and we had a chance to secure the three points with Afsha’s shot that hit the post,” Mosimane told his club’s official website

“Al Hilal are a better side compared to last year. They have a strong squad and they are good in attack and defense.”

“It is a difficult group with four big teams and everyone has a chance to reach the next round.”
