Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane expects Rayon Sport to be even tougher when the two side’s meet at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday.

The Brazilians were forced to settle for a goalless draw in the Caf Champions League first leg opener at the Amahoro Stadium on Wednesday.

Mosimane says he is expecting an even harder second leg fixture against Rayon as they look to qualify for the group stages for the third campaign in a row.

‘It was tough even here,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.

‘Football is like that. It’s tough. But I don’t know how Rayon Sports play away. I am happy that we didn’t sit back. We came here to play. We don’t sit at the back. We always go forward to play, even if we play away. It’s our culture because if you sit at the back you invite pressure and the goal will come.

‘It was a tough game. I like the atmosphere. The fans were good, peaceful and no issues. It was a nice environment and I am happy that we kept a clean sheet.’

Mamelodi Sundowns will now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup when they take on ABC Motsepe League club EC Bees at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off set for 19:30.
