Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana wants to emulate his childhood heroes Jerry Sikhosana and Mark Fish by claiming a Caf Champions League winners’ medal.

The Brazilians are set to take on Zamalek in the first leg of the finals at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

The 31-year-old says he is looking forward to Sundowns clash against the White Knights and become the second South African club to win the trophy.

‘I watched the Champions League before when I was still at school. Jerry Sikhosana, Mark Fish, my heroes were there playing,’ Kekana said.

‘It is just a dream come true for me to play for such a big team like Mamelodi Sundowns and reaching the final of Champions League. I’m looking forward to the final.’

The match at Lucas Moripe Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
