Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that midfielder Andile Jali and defender Wayne Arendse will miss their home Caf Champions League clash against Asec Mimosa on Friday evening.

The Brazilians are set to welcome the Ivorian outfit to Loftus Versfeld Stadium in their third Group A encounter.

Pitso Mosimane’s mens have managed to claim one win and suffered one defeat thus far, and currently occupy second place in the group with three points, trailing leader Wydad Casablanca by a point.

However, Sundowns announced that the experienced pair were left out of the match day squad as they missed a string of matches in 2019 through injury.

Jali recently suffered a dead leg and picked up a contusion to his right foot, while Arendse remains sidelined with a calf injury.

Other players on the injury list include Sibusiso Vilakazi, who continues to recover from Achilles tendon surgery, while Thela Ngobeni is nursing his way back to full fitness after sustaining a hip injury.
