Highlights: Pirates lose to African champions

Watch the highlights as Orlando Pirates suffer a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Esperance Tunis on Tuesday afternoon in their Caf Champions League Group B clash in Tunisia.

Coming into the game, the two sides were level on 5 points apiece and occupied the top two spots after the 0-0 draw at the Orlando Stadium in the beginning of the month.

Pirates were arguably unlucky not to walk away with the three points in that encounter, but the same cannot not be said of the clash at the Stade Olympique in Tunis.

The defending champions showed their class and could have had more goals were it not for the heroics of Wayne Sandilands in the Pirates’ goal.

The result sees the Buccaneers stay on five points and drop to third in group, with Horoya moving into second with seven points after their 2-0 victory over FC Platinum. Esperance move to the top of the group with eight points, all teams having played four times.
