Carlo Ancelotti has expressed an interest in committing to German giants Bayern Munich for a sustained period of time having settled in quickly at the club.

The Italian took over the reins at the club following the departure of Pep Guardiola to Manchester City having reportedly rejected the chance to rejoin English giants Chelsea in favour of the German champions.

The 57-year-old has been out of work since he was let go by Real Madrid after a trophyless season in 2014-15 with the Spanish powerhouse, despite having led them to the Champions League the previous season.

Bayern have made a phenomenal start under Ancelotti’s guidance as they have raced to six wins in succession in all competitions, while Ancelotti has praised the atmosphere surrounding the side.

‘I would love to stay here longer than two years,’ Ancelotti told TZ. ‘

There are clubs that feel like a company and there are clubs that feel like a family. Bayern feels like a family,’ he added.

Ancelotti has not been known to stick around at clubs he’s managed in recent seasons as he spent just a couple of seasons at each of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid following a long spell at AC Milan.

The Italian has also impressed with his ability to speak German, despite admitting he has found the language a challenge.

‘I have to say the Germany language is very complicated,’ he concluded.
