Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has reassured the club’s supporters that goalkeeper Ronwen Williams will be back, despite his recent absence from their matchday squad.
Veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango was named in the starting lineup against Stellenbosch FC in the absence of Williams.
However, Onyango was replaced in the 82nd minute by Jody February, who held on to their clean sheet as Sundowns went on to secure a 3-0 win at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
The Tunisian mentor has given supporters hope that Williams will be available soon ahead of their final two Betway Premiership fixtures as well as the CAF Champions League final.
“No, there’s no issue only solutions. Thank God we have solutions for the problems and Ronwen is not a big problem as a I said in the pre-match conference,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV after the game.
“He will be available for us very quickly and even in the next match and I also think the question with Denis is not a big thing.”
