Proteas captain Dean Elgar says it was “nice” to win his first Test at Kingsmead in five attempts.
Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer took all 10 Bangladesh second-innings wickets between them as the Proteas won the first Test at Kingsmead by 220 runs.
Bangladesh lost three wickets in quick succession on the fourth day of the first Test against South Africa at Kingsmead.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 137 as Bangladesh were bowled out for 298 on day three of the first Test at Kingsmead.
