Valentino Rossi won the Dutch MotoGP on Sunday to move to third in the riders’ standings.

The 38-year-old, who is chasing a 10th world title, now has 108 points, with only Maverick Vinales (111) and Andrea Dovizioso (115) ahead of him. Defending champion Marc Marquez has 104 points.

Vinales’ nightmare run continued when he crashed out of the race on lap 12, having moved from 11th on the grid to fifth.

Rossi finished the race in a time of 41:41.149, with Danilo Petrucci and Marquez joining him on the podium.

Cal Crutchlow came fourth and Dovizioso fifth.
