Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Lewis Macha has joined Baroka after being released by the Soweto giants after just one season in the Absa Premiership.

The 25-year-old becomes the second signing made by Bakgaga, after they secured the services of midfielder Gift Motupa from Orlando Pirates on loan.

The Zambian’s agent, Mike Ngobeni, confirmed the news of Macha’s arrival at Baroka.

‘Macha has just signed with Baroka,’ he told KickOff.

‘Its a two-year deal,’ he concluded.

Macha arrived at the Naturena based-outfit with much fanfare after arriving from Mozambican outfit Clube Ferroviário de Maputo, but after scoring the winner in the 2016 Carling Black Label Cup against arch-rivals Pirates, Macha was unable to cement his spot in Steve Komphela’s side.

Macha featured eight times in all competitions during the 2016-2017 campaign, three of which came as starting berths.

He did not find the back of the net during his stint with Chiefs.
