West Bromwich Albion cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Burnley at the Hawthorns in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Baggies broke the deadlock in the fourth minute when a Dean Marney poor clearance fell to Matty Philips, who slotted the ball home from close range to make it 1-0.

Nine minutes later, West Brom doubled their lead when Salomon Rondon picking out James Morrison, who placed the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box to make it 2-0.

The Baggies continued to dominate the match and claimed their third goal in the 37th minute when Philips floated a cross to the far post, only for Darren Fletcher to tap the ball into the back of the net from six-yards out.

Meanwhile, Burnley struggled to create any clear-cut chances in the final third and failed to force West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster into making any saves in the opening 45 minutes.

In the 64th minute, the home side netted their fourth goal as Rondon collected a pass from Allan Nyom before his shot was deflected in off of Ben Mee.

Burnley came close to opening their account in the 75th minute when Johann Gudmundsson’ free-kick was guided just over the  crossbar.

However, West Brom managed to hold onto their 4-0 over Burnley until the final whistle to walk away with all three points, as they move up to ninth on the  Premier League table.
