Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy expects nothing less than 110% from his side in their Community Shield clash against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Claudio Ranieri’s men will take on Jose Mourinho’s men in the annual season curtain-raiser at Wembley on the eve of a thrilling campaign, reports the Leicester City website.

The England striker says the Foxes will install the same winning mentality against United as they did during their title-winning campaign.

‘It’d keep that winning mentality going, which is what we had all of last season,’ Vardy said.

‘We knew that when we did lose we’d bounce straight back. We’ll be going out there giving 110 per cent and if that’s good enough to get us the win then that will be brilliant.

‘We’ll just be going out and doing what we’ve done and we’ll see what happens, but we’ll keep the targets small and keep building.’

Vardy insists that the spirit within the camp at Leicester is what keeps the players and coach alike motivated to give their best performance.

‘That’s what makes us the team that we are and you can see that on the pitch when we give 110 per cent for each other,’ he added.

The 29-year-old made club history with Leicester City last season, helping them to secure their very first Premier League title, scoring 24 goals and assisted a further eight from 34 appearances.
