Take a look at how Twitter reacted to decisions made by Fifa’s Video Assistant Referee (VAR) at the 2017 Fifa Confederations Cup.

Chile forward Eduardo Vargas’ goal in the first half injury time was disallowed after VAR was implemented, controversially ruling the forward fractionally offside as he ran on to Arturo Vidal’s through ball.

However, the VAR came to Chile’s aid late on when Vargas did get his goal after VAR overruled the linesman and adjudged Alexis Sanchez to be onside in the build-up, as Chile went on to win the match 2-0 over Cameroon.
