Sunderland have completed the signing of Manchester United duo Paddy McNair and Donald Love for a combined fee of £5.5-million.

The 21-year-olds have both signed a four-year deal with the Black Cats and will now reunite with former United manager David Moyes at the Stadium of Light.

McNair, who represented Northern Ireland at the Euro 2016, made 27 first-team appearances and was also a key figure in the Reserves’ U21 success over the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, Love was another mainstay of Warren Joyce’s side and one of his two senior outings for the Reds, his debut, came during the 2-1 defeat at the Stadium of Light last February, reports the Manchester United website.

Moyes admits that he has been impressed by the Reds duo and will be hoping the pair can develop into quality players under his guidance.

‘Paddy is a young, athletic player who is improving all the time. He has experience for Northern Ireland and we want to bring as many international players to the club as we can,’ Moyes said.

‘Donald comes highly recommended and is another young player who I hope can develop and improve here’

The former Everton manager revealed that he will add young and senior players to the squad to help improve the team for the long-term.

‘I want to add some young players to the squad as well as some senior players and both of them have got really good potential and the opportunity to improve,’ he said.

‘I want to bring in players who are here for the long-term as well as the short and hopefully these two are here for the long-term.’

McNair and Love will now join the likes of Papy Djilobodji at the Black Cats following his £8-million move from Chelsea.
